Jesse- Thank you for inquiring about our current status regarding the May-issued Friends of the Earth report. As stated then, Graco remains committed to evaluating alternative materials and are in the midst of our explorations related to that. We apologize for the difficult time you had reaching out to us. If you would like to talk more about this directly, feel free to reach out to us at service@gracobaby.com

Thank you and best wishes to you and your family on the upcoming birth of your child!

As this report came out in May of 2008 and I am currently researching baby products for my baby to be in August of 2008 there are no updates to this subject. Graco's consumer service center has no clue to the report and what Graco inc. has concluded about the FOE report. I have tried to reach the company in Exton with no avail. Even if Graco is as they state in their official position complying to gov't rules and regs. They should still consider taking the fire retardant out of their products or at least have a few that are all natural to meet the needs of parents in other states than ones with the TB117 law as California.

I will not be buying any products of Graco until this issue is resolved and they take a proactive stance with fire retardants and not wait for the long bureaucratic process for them to be taken out of children's products.
I hope they take that position soon.
