Today is a big day for us. We’re celebrating the 100th post on the Graco Baby blog! Wahoo! Yay for us! OK-I can just see the veteran bloggers out there rolling their eyes. I know- a lot of you did your 100th post back in 2002 when no one knew what a blog was but I don’t care- I’m getting excited anyway.
Part of me is excited because to be totally honest, posting every single day is a bit of a challenge. It’s not that we have trouble coming up with good stuff to talk about (like if I wanted to turn this into just Kim’s blog, I could, with all of the draft posts she’s got ready to go!) but it’s just that sometimes I plain ol’ forget. It’s usually about 5:45pm and I’m trying to wrap up here at work and my husband calls – “What time are you coming home?” and I say “getting ready to leave now” and then oops – whataya know – I forgot to post today! Ahhh- strike that- I’ll be home a little later than I thought…
But more of us are excited about what this blog has become. It started the same way a lot familes start – like a twinkle in your eye and big plans in your head. You have no idea what’s in store for you but you’re willing to take the chance and go headlong into the unknown (for us, it was the blogosphere). In fact, in the same time it took some of our readers out there to birth a baby, we took the same nine months to birth this blog. We really wanted to join in the conversation so many of you are already having and introduce ourselves to you. “Hi there everyone. It’s Lindsay, Melissa, Kim, Kristin, Jen, Jon, Amy, Jason and Erin – we work at Graco. We’d love to tell you a little bit (ok- sometimes a lot) about ourselves, and at the same time, give you a glimpse at the Graco people don’t always see.” We’ve heard (mostly from phone calls and e-mails- make a comment, already!) you all are enjoying it. I know even our good friends say they feel a bit more connected to what’s going on in our lives just by reading our blog. And I think that really sums it up. We wanted a way to connect with people – our friends, our families, fellow employees and of course, the folks who want to know what Graco is really all about. I think we’ve headed down a path that’s helping us to do that – we sincerely hope you all feel the same.
So—for our 100th post, I’d really love to know what you think. Better yet- help us make the next 100 posts even better by telling us what you want to hear more of (or less of). For the folks willing to help us evolve this blog- there’ll be something in it for you. Just drop a comment and we’ll be in touch. And stay in touch, won’t you? We’ve enjoyed having you and hope you stick around.

Happy 100th! I am excited to see what lies ahead for the next 100 of the Graco Baby blog posts. I say just keep it real and be yourselves- we can never get enough of that!
Steph
I enjoy reading about your honest thoughts and adventures – thanks for sharing!! Happy 100th
Happy 100th!!
I agree with Steph. Just keep on keeping it real. Don’t forget to have fun with it!
Hoping you’re on your way to 100 comments. Congrats on making the century mark.
First, I am glad I can leave comments, I wanted to on an earlier post and there was no place for them, I may have messed up looking in the wrong place…but I am so glad it is easier to do now regardless. Second, I think how you are approaching the blog is fantastic, professional yet in the community. You are doing well for yourself, you maybe could use some witty one-liners, ahem, but besides that you are doing a great job. Congrats and keep it up!
I definitely agree with the others — keep on keeping it real and the readers will come back for more. Congrats all!
Everyone has already said this above – but I second all of it. I think what makes this blog so likeable is how “real” and “honest” your posts are – and your willingness to share your family lives with us. Marketing today is really about a 2 way conversation. With this blog and your willingness to network and meet Moms who are actually your customers – your doing just that along with making Graco accessible to the customer. And I think we all so appreciate you sharing your stories with us too!
happy 100th post!
i always find the most value in blogs that are honest and aren’t afraid to discuss the ugly sides of pregnancy, parenting, and relationships. we all have those thoughts, and for me, part of the community of parent bloggers is the ability to support one another.
so, yeah: keep it real and keep it up!
congratulations!
Congrats! What I have really liked about the blog is that they are real stories not pre-fabbed ones. So keep em coming!
Wow! Already 100 posts – Congratulations!
Keep up the great work developing your own voices. I also enjoy reading the “Graco Nod” posts as well – it’s always fun to share the blogging luv (and to read the funny stories). Just hope you make it home at a decent time tonight for dinner Lindsay! Have a great Holiday Weekend!
Congrats on 100! It feels GOOD, doesn’t it? I must echo the other commenters, I think you’re doing a wonderful job here too.
Congrats!
You all are doing great because it is real and the posts vary on topic a lot!
Congratulations! I think y’all are doing a great job keepin it real!
Congrats on your 100th!! Keep up the good work – but earlier in the day so you can get home earlier!!
HAPPY 100th!! OK so that sounds like you are oldies, but if that’s so then your oldies but goodies!
Thanks for putting a little glimpse of reality on the “big company”. I like to know that I’m not the only mother out there that has all these questions and thoughts and feelings running through their head. I like to know that your children are just as cute and cuddly and yet wacky and wild as my “Colbmeister”. Maybe you could give us avid Graco Blog readers a periodic sneak preview of what you’ve go in store for the future!
Thanks again for the fun reading each day!
Happy Friday!
Happy 100th post! Nice work. I like seeing the human side of a company I have so much stuff by.
Oh but to be able to say “I knew you when!” You’ve come a long way since your first celebration online, the birthday of the Pack N Play!
Keep sharing those milestones, whether it be yours, your kids or Graco’s.
As others have said, the real, honest to goodness stuff works! Congrats!
Happy 100th post! That is a milestone to celebrate! I’ll raise a virtual glass and toast to you!
I really enjoy the Graco blog and stop in almost every day. I especially love “behind the scenes” looks at Graco – I’d love to see photos of the Graco building and different departments, plus hear more about what it’s like to work there.
I also think it would be fantastic to see a few more contests on the blog every now and then. The Graco Monthly Nod is very fun and I’d like to see more of the same…or other innovative giveaways that honor mothers/parents.
One final comment – I am truly impressed that Graco is stepping out and getting connected with blogging and social media. It’s awesome that you are going “where the moms are” and that you are unafraid to try something new. I look forward to your next 100+ posts…
Lindsay and crew,
Congrats on your 100th post! Your blog quickly made it to my blogroll because of your refreshing tone and honesty. Looking forward to more from the Graco bloggers.

Happy 100th Post!
I don’t know of a single parent that hasn’t relied on a Graco product at some point in their child’s life.
It is very cool to see some of the good people behind the scenes that make such awesome products!
The cool thing about a blog is that there are no rules and you can do whatever you want!
That’s what makes a blog interesting. So, I’d say, keep on doing what you are doing. It is obviously working!
Congrats on your 100th post! Just echoing what so many others have already said here…I am impressed with Graco’s social media efforts. I’d love to know what your CEO thinks about the Graco blog and if they have one. Whose idea was it any way?
Also, I think all moms relate to real stories about raising kids. Nothing glossy or Photoshopped, just the real deal.
Congrats again!
Congratulations on your 100th post!
I think you’ve already received great advice above. I’d add one thing: Sk-rt is now Kirtsy. Legal hassles. Name change, etc. Check out their new site and update your buttons when you get a chance (http://www.kirtsy.com/badges-en.php).
Happy 100th! Congratulations on the PRSA award, too! What a great achievement. Looking forward to reading many more blog posts to come…
Congratulations – that is a great achievement!
Hey, congrats! Can’t wait to meet some of you at the Philly Mom blogger meetup!! :=)
Happy 100th! Congratulations. That’s a huge milestone!
I enjoy the real world, real moms, real people aspects. This blog isn’t staged and doesn’t come off as a PR schtick to reach out to Mommy/Daddy Bloggers. That, I really enjoy.
The fun y’all honestly have blogging is wonderful.
Keep it up and we’ll keep coming back!
Wow, wow, wow! I am blown away by all the comments and nice words. You have given us some great ideas that we can’t wait to post about. Stay tuned- we will be doing so soon! Thanks everyone for stopping by. KIR. (that’s “Keep it Real”) It’s my new slogan
Happy 100th! Let me know if you’d like to celebrate with a Rookie Mom’s Handbook and some nice hot chocolate.
Congratulations! Lovin’ the blog! I love having a creative writing outlet!
you guys are doing an amazing job!!!
