Here are some of the great posts/blogs from the month of October: (Congrats Nod Winners!)
Lindsay Lebresco – Oh, The Joys – Fearless
I’m so inspired by this little cowgirl! I could probably have written a post called “Fearful” about my 3 1/2 yo DS because he’s not so fond of the “scary” parts of Halloween. He wanted to be a clown this year because “he didn’t want to scare anyone. (I think that easily translates to – “Hey-if I don’t scare you, please don’t scare me!) I love how this was written too- I was on the edge of my seat to find out what would happen.
Amy Trice – Los Angeles Moms Blog – Will I EVER have time to organize the photos???
I have the same problem, but worse. The only photos I organized were photos that went into Slick’s baby book. Unfortunately, that is the extent of organizing photos into an album. Most of our pictures are still on my computer. I started uploading them to CVS’s website over the weekend. One of these days I will actually print them. My ultimate goal is to make photo albums. But, they will probably end up in a box.
Jon DeHart – Dadventure – Halloween as a Community Building Exercise
Clint’s piece on Halloween hits the mark, I think. It’s a great idea to approach it as a family event and opportunity to meet the neighbors, make new friends and strengthen our neighborhoods. I like his thought that Halloween can really be an “opportunity to contribute to a stronger neighbourhood.”
Erin McHugh – Philly Moms Blog – Go Phillies!
I read so many informative, interesting blogs everyday, however, this simple posts about the Phillies & memories really caught my attention this month! First of all, I am a HUGE Phillies fan. It kind of comes along with the territory when you have a Mother and fiancé like mine (in fact those two plan to go to the parade with or without me on the 31st!!) When I read Jo-Lynne’s post it made me realize what an amazing part of history that Philly Fans and Philadelphians in general are experiencing right now. For Patrick and I to watch the big win together & celebrate was amazing – truly something we will remember forever and I’m sure tell our kids about (hey, maybe I will be blogging about it again in the future)! I have to say, I was never a big high-fiver until the 2008 World Series and I never knew that sports could make me cry! Go Phillies!!!
Melissa Parlaman – What’s he up to now? – Getting Ready for Halloween
I love reading posts about Halloween & how other families “prep” for the occasion. I came across this post regarding home made costumes which I thought was very topical to a post that Lindsay just wrote. I admire anyone that can make their child’s Halloween costume wish come true with something home made & one of a kind (maybe one day I can actually do that….).
Kristin DeLoach – DC Metro Moms Blog – Babysitter Poaching
I thought this was great. I’m currently an “outsider” yet to have found that perfect dream of a babysitter, but I know if I ever do that I too will want to keep him or her top secret so as not to lose them!

Thanks for sharing – I’ll have to check these out!
Wow! Thank you!!
Hey Lindsay!
Thanks for stopping by my site. I can see how that monkey costume will come in handy a few more times — the top is great as a warm jacket!
Julie
Oh, these are some very nice posts. Though I must admit, I’m glad Halloween is over! We were caught in an automatic SPRINKLER along the sidewalk. Of course, I was the one with a babe in a stroller, so the last to get out.
So, it’s fun to focus on the experiences of *other* parents, rather than my own. Thanks for sharing!
