I never wanted to do the co-sleeping thing and also thought I would never introduce the pacifier, but the pacifier vow went out the window while he was still in the hospital crib and the co-sleeping resolution was out the first time I was desperate for a night of sleep in his third week of COLIC. I never thought I would allow it but I was so desperate to go to sleep that I just had to keep him there to stop him from screaming at the top of his lungs! You’ll do anything at that point, I figured.

I’m new at this anyway – he’s only four months old and he’s my only one, so I’ve still got lots to learn (and lots more resolutions to break!)

I’ve been able to stick to the “no minivan” resolution. Guess it’s easier to do when you only have 1 kid and a very anti-minivan husband.

I realize my dog Rocky is not a human, and I compare him to parenting a child way too much, but I have broken just about every resolution I made! For instance- He gets on the couch & he sleeps in our bed – 2 things I SWORE would never fly in my house!

The no food in certain rooms thing is a big broken resolution for me. In fact, I’m staring at Cheez-Its on my family room floor mocking the dog by calling him a cat because he refuses to clean them up.

The TV one too for me….

I resolved never to drive a minivan….I’ve since had 2.
