Lindsay Lebresco- Foodmomiac - Sleeping Arrangements
This post and it’s brilliant illustration gave me a good chuckle. I wasn’t laughing at Danielle and her sore back of course, I was laughing the I-totally-know-what-you’re-going-through laugh.  Jagger’s midnight migration into our room is of the “maximum disruption” kind too – he runs in at like 15 mph like a kidnapper is trying to get him (which I’m sure wouldn’t be what spooked him- that’s just the thought that bolts me outta bed).  I feel your pain- seriously. I do. Back pain, to be specific.

I couldn’t have read this post at a better time. The advice that Lindsay passed on to us is great, even though I don’t have kids it still works. “Try and be less type A.” I never realized what a control freak, OCD, uptight, neat nick I am until I had a house full of guests staying with us before our wedding. I don’t really have a problem cleaning up after Patrick or Rocky, basically because I love and enjoy taking care of my boys. But when there are 10 other adults staying with us – its impossible for me to keep everything in its proper place and perfect. I guess having house guests is good practice for having kids – from a organization/cleanliness standpoint. I won’t have my clutter free, always vacuum, shiny, sparkling, amazingly smelling house forever… when I do have kids, hopefully I will be able to be a little more type B (or I may just drive myself nuts).

Melissa Parlaman - His Boys Can Swim - Truly The Absolute Strangest, Weirdest, Most Wild Experience With Pregnancy Hormones EVER. Future Fathers Be Warned. This Is A True Story.
I discovered this blog a few weeks ago & I love how the blog stories are from the perspective of Jane (the pregnant wife) and Tarzan (husband). I think it is so cute that they color coded/created icons for each story! I especially liked this post since it was written from the husband’s perspective regarding his pregnant wife. Definitely think this is a clever & funny blog & I can’t wait to read future posts!

Jon DeHart- Rocky Mountain Moms Blog - Know-it-alls: Can’t live with them, can’t feed them to the sharks
Daphne talks about the battle of wits- the trivial pursuit we play with our little ones. (I think she should get partial credit for knowing all the words to Hungry like the Wolf)  Kids sure can be hard to keep up with. I know I never knew how much I forgot or never even knew in the first place, until my son started school. I guess teaching and learning works in both directions.

Amy Sleep - Joy Unexpected16
This post stuck with me because it really hit home. Each child is so different and so perfect in his or her own way. I swear, my two little ones are completely opposite (there’s a post waiting to happen here) and I love everything about both of them and wouldn’t want them to change a single thing. . . Plus, I love the idea of taking a birthday morning picture! :)

Karen Hartzell - It’s Your Movie-Getting Real & Maybe the dishsoap has gone to my head
These two back to back posts were awesome and go together like PB&J. The first I could relate to on a serenity/sanity level of staying up late and getting stuff done for the next day. The second was the reality that makes you question that same serenity/sanity level with young children. Most moms have their act together on what counts, so don’t sweat the small stuff and try to be perfect all the time.

Of course you shouldn’t encourage winning “at any cost”. But a good honest win is a great thing to teach. Awesome post and an even better video. Check it out!

Kristin DeLoach- Suburban Turmoil- Dr. Fuzz Explains it All
I got a kick out of this post by Suburban Turmoil because it’s a funny account of a common experience…from the comments on this post, it seems that many of us have had experience with or know“Dr Fuzz” in our lives!

Spring has arrived! Time to rotate the clothes in the closet and figure out what to wear when the weather really warms up. This post and the accompanying pictures crack me up.
