Donna Donnelly - The Breakup That Hurts More Than Anything: Getting Dumped By Your Babysitter - The Storked Blog
Did you ever have someone breakup with you? How terrible was it? Now imagine it’s your babysitter!!! The Storked Blog page at Glamour.com had an interesting post this month discussing the dreaded end of babysitter relationships. Finding good babysitters and cultivating the relationship between your child(ren) and you and them is very difficult, especially for single parents. As a child of a single working mother, I remember well, the parade of babysitters that went through our door! How do you make sure you keep the good ones in and keep the bad ones away? How young is too young to leave your children in their own care?
Kelly Voelker - Be Safe This Halloween - Because I Said So
This post made me laugh because it brought me back to my days as a kid Trick-or-Treating when we lived in Syracuse, NY. It was always freezing on Halloween, so it never failed that we ended up wearing a snowsuit under our costumes. It also gives a cool recommendation on a product that can help keep your kids safe on Halloween night.
Amy Trice - What if kids filled out comment cards? - Simple Father
I love Scott’s idea of asking for feedback. Sounds like Princess P thinks he’s doing a great job. I haven’t asked Slick for his feedback on my parenting skills yet. I have a feeling his opinion would be that I do not give him enough candy or let him watch enough cartoons. But, I’m pretty sure I’ve been exceeding the minimum hugs requirement.
Heidi Parker - Shopping as Therapy - Mommy in Pink
I love this post, because what gal wouldn’t jump at the chance to do a little shopping for herself when handed a wad of cash? I look forward to days like these with my little one, I just hope he or she loves to shop (and considers it therapy) as much as I do!
Karen Hartzell - Between - Casual Friday Everyday
For my nod this month I chose Nell, from Casual Friday Everyday. This post spoke to me. I feel the same way lately. I know when I visit Nell’s site, I will always find a moving post or an amazing photo to get lost in for a while.

Love the nods ladies! Gotta hand it to “Simple Father” for the great idea- I’m totally doing this tonight at dinner. Funny & yet informative. And Karen- thanks for sending me back over to check on Nell- hadn’t visited her in a while & I love her blog & her view on life. Great choice for your nod!
Thanks for the nod!
I really was surprised by such rave reviews from my daughter. I guess even though I’m tough on her, she sees that it’s done with love.
Thank you so much for the nod! What an honor.
