I have to start by saying that this post is long overdue! As soon as we found out that Itsy Bitsy Parker was on the way, I began dreaming of transforming our current workout room into a cozy baby paradise. My nesting instinct definitely set in early, but I’m somewhat of a “nester”, pregnant or not, so I wasn’t surprised.
I was looking forward to having an excuse for another room makeover. Since my husband and I moved into our home three and a half years ago, I have slowly (and successfully) “redone” each room in the house, except for this one. I love decorating and bringing a space into my own style. See, I get a vision in my head of what I want it to look like, then the fun part is searching to find all of the necessary components and bringing them together to make a beautiful final product.
So, really, nesting for me began in the first trimester of pregnancy. I first began cleaning out closets and reorganizing to be sure IBP would have his or her own closet dedicated to his or her own stuff, not ours. Then, I began to think about color schemes, given the fact that we had decided to wait to find out IBP’s gender. We decided Restoration Hardware’s new baby line in silver sage and chocolate brown would be a perfect fit, whether IBP turns out to be a boy or a girl. Next, came the crib, which I shopped around for quite a bit before I decided on one.
Now it was time to get the room painted. With this came a sacrifice. We had to move out the existing weight set occupying the room and dedicate half of our garage as our new workout room. This was quite a milestone for us, given the fact that my husband and I used this room in our house almost every day and we weren’t quite sure how likely we would be to use it as often in it’s new location. And, we were right…it’s been used a handful of times since we moved it in September. Hopefully now that we have the cable hooked up and a TV in place out there, things will fall back into place. I keep telling my husband he needs to get into a new routine now, before the baby comes, because it probably won’t happen afterwards. Am I right?
Of course, I look forward to including some monogrammed wall décor, but that too has to wait until we know the gender.
I absolutely love how the room turned out—it’s just as I imagined it. I often find myself going in there, turning on the light, looking around, and just smiling. It has been absolutely delightful preparing for this little one and imagining my little girl or little boy occupying their cozy little paradise just makes me giddy.
For all of you expecting parents out there…Happy Nesting!

I would donate to the local Battered Women’s Shelter!
I would give this to my Sister in law. After 4 years of trying for a baby she’s pregnant. Everyone is so excited.
I would donate this to the local battered women’s shelter. There are many women in need and would be happy to have this stroller. Thanks for giving all of these wonderful prizes away!
I would donate this to my friend Jackie. Jackie is a friend I grew closer with this year, and though we lives miles and miles and miles away (she in Delaware, me in Texas), I love her dearly and miss her. Her and her husband work so hard, and I would love to take their mind off all the expenses of having a daughter (in March 2010!) and provide them with this stroller. It’d be one less item on their to-do list, and I can’t think of anyone of more deserving than Jackie and her husband. Happy Holidays!
OMG I LOVE THIS STROLLER and it is on my registry for my little one! Because I have an injury with my left arm I am limited in how much weight I can carry, so this stroller is a God-send for those of us with a disability!! I would donate the give one to a local hospital to assist another needy family who has to work around a disability as it gets really expensive really fast! Thank you for your consideration!
I would give it to one of my great friends whose husband may be leaving for deployment before or soon after their first child is born. She’s going to need all the help she can get raising their son by herself.
I would love to be able to give this gift to my Sister, whose husband is in Iraq on his second tour, and I know they would love this, it would be the perfect gift for their young family! Thanks
If I won I would give this stroller to a friend who is about to have a baby, they have fallen on tough times and can not afford much for thier new baby. I would also love to win this formyself because my stroller has recently become moldy and we can not afford to replace it.

I would give one to my cousin who has a really bad back. This would be great for her since she has a 7 month old baby girl and they live in apartments so she has to carry her heavy stroller up and down a lot of steps. This would be such a huge help for her!
This is a such a beautiful stroller. If I won I would keep one for my baby and give one t my local chuch for families in need.
Congrats Heidi!!! and yes I agree hubby needs to get into a routine now before the little one gets here. Sadly I’ve been telling my hubby the same thing =) ps… The IBP’s room looks AMAZING!! I’d love your help/ideas for mine =)
I would give this awesome stroller to my Baby Care Nurse KIM! She meets with low income women every day trying to help prepare us to be mommy’s =) I know she will find a great home for this stroller and it will be one less thing that person will have to worry about!!!
((hugs))

Adorable!!!!!!!!!!
Would still give to any mom in need!!!!! Don’t know anyone who needs one around me!
Beautiful!
I would donate the second stroller to my daycare provider. She gives me peace of mind everyday so I would love to give her something that would enhance her business. It’s not easy leaving my baby, so I appreciate all the extra attention and love my provider gives!
I would give this stroller to our dear friends that just got word that their adopted little boy is officially theirs! It has been an incredibly quick process and they are in need of nearly everything for this little one. I would give the other stroller (because we don’t need one yet!) to another friend of ours who is due with her first in a few weeks.
I would donate one to a friend of the family who is having a baby is basically has nothing and cant really afford to buy anything.
I would give one to my mother. She is always there to lend a hand taking care of her granbabies & she has plenty of them now too. My two month old daughter made #10!
Good karma, as always, is rewarded. As my children are already along in years, I personally would not have use for a stroller. However, if I won, I’d give one stroller to a friend of mine & his wife who are expecting their first child. The second stroller would be donated to The Salvation Army, so that someone else who is without this holiday season would have the opportunity to use & showcase an outstanding Graco product.
I would give one to my cousin to help out with her little girl, when she was pregnant her husband lost his job, even though he has found another money is still tight this holiday season.
i would give this to my cousins who just had a baby, and they lost thier last stroller in a fire last year.
I would give one to my sister who has a really old stroller that is falling apart after 10 years of use!
Wow this stroller is amazing!!! I would give this stroller to a local daycare. She goes on walks with the babies, and doesn’t have anything to use when she does go on walks.
I would do the same as a lot have said. I would donate it to a woman’s shelter. I have spent many hours volunteering at a local shelter and I know how difficult it can be for many of these women and families.
wow! I love IBP’s bedroom, that’s one lucky baby! Where’s the glider from?
I would donate the stroller to my local hospital so that parent can take their child patients for walks around the ward and with the huge basket it can hold all the medical equipment.
i would give one to a friend from africa who is having her first! and the other would go to my sister who is adopting a baby this spring!
This is a superb-looking product! I would donate one to the York Rescue Mission (http://www.yorkrescuemission.org/) – they have a Women and children’s shelter and I am sure they are always looking for baby products to help mother’s get back on their feet.
If for some reason they did not need the stroller, I would want to donate to Birthright of Annapolis, a crisis pregnancy center. I believe women who are brave enough to go to a crisis center to ask for help should be able to receive help, and what better way to help them than to give them this beautiful stroller. Getting enough equipment to care for a baby is quite expensive!
I would give this to a military family that is in need. My husband just came home from Iraq and I am sure there are families out there in need of a new stroller. I would also give my “get one” to a friend who is expecting their first baby in April!
this is gret i would love this i would donate one to a new young single mom that i know. She is strugling to balance her new life with a child and financially.
I’d love to win this! If I win one, I’ll donate the other one to a family in need at the local charity I used to go to.
i like this for my child , i woud donate the other to another fmily in need!
I wish my nesting instinct would kick in! I have so much to do!
I would gift it to my friend, Tara, who is due the same day as me! She hasn’t gotten a stroller yet!
wow how great i could really use this!! i would donate the other to a local charity.
I would give one to Mountain States Early Headstart. They are a grant based program and don’t always have money to help their family’s out. They’ve helped us in the past and I would love to give one to them to help them out in return (and keep the other one since we don’t have a stroller)
I would love to win these strollers. My daughter is expecting soon and this stroller is the #1 item on her wish list! Believe me, she does her homework,so I know this is a quality stroller, safe, and a good value.
I would keep the second one to use when I babysit my new grandchild!
If I won, I’d love to give the other stroller to a good friend who’s just found out that she’s expecting!
She’s excited about the baby, but she’s pretty short in finances since she’ll be getting married in January..and she’s still in college (Her last year!) ..so I’m sure that you can imagine how tight money is. I know she doesn’t have a stroller yet so I’m sure she’d appreciate not having to buy a stroller for her little one to be.
I would donate tomy sister in law who just adapted an infant
I love to to have a chance to win one for myself and one for a needy couple that i know who is about to have a baby. I love all things Graco and this is a great stroller!
Graco strollers are the best! I would love to give it to my friend who has 2 little children
. And I will use one for my son. Thank you for this giveaway!
I would give it my friend Valerie’s sister Vanessa. She is having a baby and she is a single mom without a job. Her baby boy is due in April.
I would give one to my friend Daedra, who is due TODAY after having tried for 5 years!
I would give this to our local pregnancy center. What an awesome gift to give to someone!
I would give one to my sister in law who’s exspecting her first baby and then the other one I’d give to family in need at my church. Since during these holidays many people are out of work and finding out they are exspecting. And worring how they will support this new little blessing thats on the way. I love graco products and always tell friends about there products. I have a stroller kinda like these for my car when im taking my nephew around and love it its amazing how easy it is to close and open. He loves it and I do and we alot of comments on it as well.
I would give one to my sister in law who is due in March 2010 and I would give one to my parish, St. Clare’s. St. Clare’s is always helping fellow parishioners and organizations that are truly needy. What a wonderful Christmas gift that would be for someone who could not afford to buy it themselves.
I would love one for myself (I’m unemployed and my husband’s hours and pay just got cut) and I would donate the other one to the MOPS program at my church who help some of the families that attend the church.
I love this stroller, I would give one to the sitter, so that we don’t have to transport ours in and out of the car daily. The other I would donate to the local woman’s shelter.
One would be given to my sister and the other would be given to my sister-in-law, who just got word that she is pregnant with #2.
I would give one to my wife who is due on March 13. Because it is the one she has been looking for. It’s one of the safest strollers that graco makes. The other would go to a needy family I know who is less fortunite.
I would give one to a friend of mine who’s expecting her first child and is unfortunately not in the best financial situation currently.
I would donate this to my dear friend Jackie and her husband Mike. They are such kind, warm, supportive people and are anxiously awaiting the birth of their first child in March. This amazing stroller would be one less worry for them, and who doesn’t need a little extra help these days!
I’d donate it to my local Battered Women’s shelter here in Cleveland.
There are a few moms I have come to know on twitter whom I just adore and are having a rough time this holiday season like myself. I would like nothing better than to play santa and give one to one of them!
