Maternity Styles

Watching many friends and family go through pregnancies, one common theme typically arises.  All women still want to look and feel cute, attractive and stylish when pregnant.  Why should you have to give it up?  These days, there are so many options out there for mom-to-be.  Not only can you purchase adorable maternity clothes, but here are some great style tips for using your pre-pregnancy wardrobe.

1.  Accessorize – Handbags, necklaces and belts can be just the “oomph” your outfit needs to make you feel great.  Try a cute headband or new hair style to give you extra pep in your step!

 2. Long tees – These days, long tees and tanks are part of every girl’s closet.  When you’re pregnant, these tees will still fit long and lean on your baby bump and can be dressed up with a cute belt and necklace.  Perfection!

 3.  Jersey Dresses – Who doesn’t love a great jersey dress?  During the summer months, this is a must-have for all women.  Dresses are extremely flattering on a pregnant mom and are also very comfortable and easy (BONUS!).

Check out the “Style Me, I’m pregnant” episode from Graco’s My First Baby Webisode series for more great tips from expert Liz Lange, maternity designer.  While your there, share your maternity style tips with other moms-to-be.

I love being pregnant but am disappointed in the lack of clothes there are for plus size woman. We cant just go to a store and try stuff on, most of ours is online and we have to gamble with if it fits, if it looks good, etc. Same goes for the nursing bras and other nursing accesories like cover ups. The one size fits most doesnt really work for us larger chested. BUT on a happier note, I love being pregnant, I love ALL of my Graco equipment and I’m not going to let that set back of lack of cute clothing distract from the little blessing God has sent us mommies-to-be!!
