I recently met this woman named Courtney online whom I have never met. She is currently pregnant with her 3rd and 4th child. I met her through an online group of moms and like everyone else Courtney has her troubles. But Courtney’s story just touches my heart. She has 2 kids already a toddler and a 1 year old. This unexpected pregnancy brought more then just the shock of it being twins. She was diagnosed with TTTS shortly after finding out that she was pregnant with indentical girls. Courtney was rushed to hospital in Houston, TX to have a surgery to try and their best to outcome the odds of TTTS. The surgery was a success! She was told she’d be lucky to make it to 29 weeks. She is now almost 31 weeks! She has overcome A LOT of hurdles to get where she is. Thanks to bed rest and love from her family and friends these twins will have a chance! She is so strong, there were many times where they didn’t think the babies would make it and now they are doing great. Only a few more weeks and we will all be happy to see 2 beautiful baby girls come into the world. I am not saying that Courtney deserves this set of carseats because of a medical condition, but Courtney has also given back. She recently had a walk to raise money for TTTS in her area. She will have 2 babies that will each need a place for comfort after making a healthy entrance into this world!

You can watch and read their story here:

    Thanks!

I would love to see one go to the Matrix Pregnancy Center in Lafayette, Indiana. They are a non-profit pregnancy resource center that offers woman with unexpected pregnancies alternative to abortion. It is run by private doantions from peop……………le and churches. All the workers there except 3 are volunteers from our community. I am currently partnered with Coca-Cola in Lafayette to raise awareness, and donations for Matrix. In the past 2 days alone we have already raised over 800 dollars, I would love to see this go up as well as continue to get items for the infants and children. Thank you,

I desire this gift for my good friends with a 6 month old that will have his second operation soon and a todler almost 3. Healthy babies can cost a lot of money. With operations costing so very much it is nice to know that there are Christmas Angels out there giving gifts. Much appreciated gifts. Thank You

I want this for my friend who has 3 kids. She and her husband just declared bankrupsy and and definitly need new car seats. I babysat them once and noticed her boys (4 and 5) were both riding in expired Alpha Omega carseats. I bought her daughter a Myride a year ago but I’m a single mom and can’t afford much either. I am dating someone who has 2 boys (5 and 6) who ride in booster in his truck with lap belts and no headrests and I would definitly be able to use the extra nautilus (the gogo) for myself as well (between us we have a 2 year old a 5 year old and 6 year old). So its two family’s in need!!

I would nominate my good friend who is in the process of adopting her sisters 8 month old. This would be great for her as she is going to be a single mom, and has many years of car seats ahead of her!!

I would give it to my sister. We are both single mothers and I know she could use it just as much as I could. My 3 year old is in desperate need of a carseat. His has been through him and 2 older cousins so needless to say it has seen its better days! We ♥ Graco because it is the safest and ofcourse we want our children to have the best!

I would give them to a family I know of where the father is out of work and the mother has major medical problems. they could use new seats for their 3 year old and autistic 8 year old.

I would love to win this for a needy mom that we’ve had the pleasure of helping this Christmas. She has a three kids 3, 4 and 5. We don’t have much but helping them has been a blessing to us and our friends. I also have a 1yr old who has outgrown her infant carrier seat and needs a seat asap, we also have three other kids ages 4, 7 and 8. Times have been hard for us recently and winning a new car seat would really help.

I am so thankful that luckily, I know of no one in desperate need of baby items. I know times are tough these days for most, as they are sometimes for my husband and I. I would love to donate these car seats to the former OB/GYN office I used to work for, and still currently go to for care. The office is located in the city and I know there are many mothers and families that really have nothing. It is sad, and I would absolutely adore helping someone else in need. I was a single young mother once, who luckily had my family there to help and for support, and at times, go to for some extra cash. Some people don’t have this, and getting something like this wonderful gift would absolutely make their life a little easier and more bright. With it being a GOGO giveaway, my husband and I could also make use of some of the car seats. I wouldn’t be selfish at all, and would only keep what we necessary. Like I said, sometimes times are tough for us as well. We currently have alot of outstanding bills that we are paying on but will be for ever (medical bills), etc…. This would be such a relief for both us, to have nice new carseats for the boys (with one on the way), as well as for that special someone out there that I know my OB office would choose perfectly.

I would still give it to the school who sponserd us this year. They made sure we had a Christmas for our 3 young boys when there was no hope. I have been on unemployment and have been homeless since my children got lead poisoning in ohio and we were forced to move back to washington. Thank you so much Cascaid High School.

  11. Breanne C December 21, 2010 at 3:18 am #

I Would give it to my friend Kelly, she works really hard and her husband is a fire fighter that was recently out of work for a little time due to an injury(not on the job). Now, they found out their six month old daughter has a tumor on her liver so they have lots of medical bills coming in right now and its hard. They also have an older son. I would love one for baby on the way because we used a garage sale infant carseat with my son and will use the same one for our daughter as we cant afford a new one even thought its going to expire. Our son is currently in a Graco convertible seat from a garage sale so it would be nice to have him in a newer one so I wouldn’t have to worry so much. Thank you Graco for such a wonderful holiday GOGO gifts.

After years of failed IVF treatments, the excitement of getting pregnant then the sorrow of miscarrying, my husband and I are further exhausting our financial abilities and adopting. I teach kindergarten at a title 1 school and would utilize our campus’s parent liason to make sure the second set of car seats goes to the neediest families in our campus community. Our family is doing everything they can to help us achive our life long dream of finally becoming parents but the help of a set of car seats would certainly take the edge off of some upcoming expenses once we are matched with a baby. If we had been able to make a baby the old fashion way we would be stretching our budget for much happier reasons (like buying awesome Graco baby products!)

  13. Gen December 21, 2010 at 4:30 am #

I would nominate my sister. With three little ones, all three and under, it seems there is always someone needing an upgrade to their car seat. How great that you all are doing this! Thank you!

  14. Em December 21, 2010 at 6:11 am #

I would nominate my next door neighbor. She is taking care of her 3 yr old grandson right now due to family issues. She doesn’t have a good car seat. The straps are all twisted and the seat may even be expired.

  15. Heather F December 21, 2010 at 6:20 am #

    Hi there,

The 1st one I would give to my cousin in need. She is a young mom with a un planned preganacy and doesnt have the support at home. This would help her out a ton! The 2nd one I wouldn’t even keep either. I would donate that another mom in need of them that is struggling this year. Thanks so much for this! You are great and henerous people!

  16. Sophie December 21, 2010 at 1:18 pm #

Im a carseat technician and Id love to give some away to a needy family at a clinic! We come accross so many people who have the wrong seat and we cant give them new ones because we dont have the budget so we just have to hope and pray they take our advice and get the right seat after… Id love to have one there to say here you go!

  17. Brittany C December 21, 2010 at 1:23 pm #

I would nominate my sister in law. She has a four year old and a two week old. Her and her husband both lost their jobs half way through her second pregnancy. I bought her graco snugride infant seat for her baby shower gift. But her four year old is in a backless booster and really really needs to be in a safer carseat for her age and size. Neither of them have found jobs so it would also be great to have a convertible for when the new baby outgrows her infant seat. The second set of carseats for my family would also go to great use. My three and a half year old has almost reached the height limit for her current seat but I am not ready to put her in a belt positioning booster. Two graco nautilus seats would be more then perfect! The second would be for my six month old for when she outgrows her graco snugride.

I’m always helping someone out because I know it will come back twice for me. This will definitely go to my cousin Who doesn’t have much for her new baby that’s coming this month!

  19. Jennifer S December 21, 2010 at 2:15 pm #

I would donate to a friend of mine. Her and her husband found out that his daughter was pregnant less than two weeks before the baby was born. They are providing everything for the baby and it’s really straining them since the girls mother and the baby’s father or other grandparents won’t help out. She’s trying to get by with used everything but I worry about used carseats especially ones from people they don’t know. I’d love to be able to help them out!

  20. Nicole booth December 21, 2010 at 3:22 pm #

I would donate to my neighbors daughter who is pregnant and her baby’s daddy just kicked her out of their apartment and will not let her back in to get any of the baby items she has already gotten. She is young and of course money is tight and she doesn’t have much and this would be one of the most important items!!! Iam a mOther of two boys 4 and 8 months and a new car seat would be great since the infant carrier is about to expire.

  21. Shannon December 21, 2010 at 3:32 pm #

Not sure if I made the cut off for this or not…. but I am truly hoping to win this for my cousin. She recently moved back to the area that I live, and is staying with her older sister and her family to make ends meet. The daddy of her beautiful 4 month old little girl has walked out on her, and she can use all the help she can get!

  22. Kalia December 22, 2010 at 2:35 am #

I would like to nominate my sister. Everyone does have their own struggles. My sister didn’t get her diploma or GED and it’s been about 20+ years since she’s been out of school. She is currently a homemaker. Her kids range from “just out of High school” to elementary. Her youngest is 10 years old but she is expecting so it has been 10 years since she has had and used car seats or anything for infants and toddlers. She is due in January and her daughter is also pregnant and due the same month. My sister would be so happy and blessed to receive these.

I would love one for my baby on the way (also due in beginning of January). I also have two other children, the ages 3 and 18 months. Our 3 year old has a booster seat without harness and our 18 month old has a regular carseat but we’re not too sure of the expiration date. Our previous carseats are used and hand-me downs so it would be nice to actually get new ones so we can have the feeling that our kids are safe and secured. Thank you for being kind and generous. We appreciate it and Happy Holidays.

  23. Christine M December 22, 2010 at 9:02 am #

My daughter is in need of a new carseat for my grand child. She works just above minimum wage so she gets no help with anything from the state like food stamps, TANF, or child care. So she’s been spending every penny she has on food, chold care, and bills. She will not be able to give her daughter her first christmas.

Baby girl has been to big for her seat for 2 weeks now and my daughter doesn’t know what she’s gonna do next. She’s looking for a hand-me down car seat to make it till she gets enough income to buy a car seat. I think that she would be deeply honored to recieve the car seat. Thank you so much for giving someone kindness this holiday season.

  24. Lindsay December 27, 2010 at 12:18 am #

I’d happily take a gently used infant car seat for my brother’s family and mine. We both are very excited to have baby number 2 on the way and our hand-me-down car seats will be expired before our due dates. We’ve both had major setbacks due to the economy (who hasn’t through?), but financial setbacks do not compare to losing our mother during our first pregnancies. He was unemployed for over a year and is working a low paying job. I lost my job when I was in my 2nd trimester and due to circumstances have become a stay-at-home mom. Pregnancies are bittersweet in our household, but nice to be growing our families.

Wish I knew about this earlier :(
