Babies, Bundles & Bumps #50

I have a baby to introduce you to today that’s very close to my heart: my cousin Hillary’s daughter, Miss Brooks! Miss Brooks was a preemie; she was born at only 30 weeks with the slight weight of 2lbs 15oz and spent 8 weeks in the NICU. It’s hard to believe when you see her adorable 15lb rolling body today!

In honor of Hillary & Miss Brooks, I’m going to be walking in my local ‘March for Babies’ this spring.

Maybe you can consider joining the over 7 million walkers out there by finding a March of Dimes ‘March for Babies’ event in your community.

The first photo you see (above) is of Miss Brooks wearing her daddy’s wedding ring as a bracelet; can you imagine an arm that tiny???

The second photo (below) is of the beautiful Miss Brooks today.

She is adorable! What a tiny little arm! 4 out of 5 of my children were preemies too, but they were large preemies, thank goodness! However, that didn’t mean that they didn’t have other problems besides low birth weight. Thankfully they’re healthy and wonderful now, but it’s never easy when a baby comes too early!

Your little Miss Brooks looks so happy. It seems ages ago that she was in the NICU. I wish we lived closer so that we could help out with baby sitting.

We were so lucky that despite Brooks’ early arrival, she is completely healthy and thriving. Not all premies are as fortunate, so it is important to support organizations like the March of Dimes.
