An Experienced Mom’s Review of Graco’s New SnugRide® Click Connect™ 40

We gave experienced Graco mom Courtney Clay the opportunity to test out our new infant car seat, the SnugRide Click Connect 40. Read more to find out her thoughts on the ONLY newborn to 2-year rear-facing infant car seat.

“I was so excited to get my hands on the SnugRide Click Connect 40! There were so many wonderful features I had heard about, through the website and from blogs. It seemed like it was too good to be true.

At first sight, I was in love with the Mena print; it is perfect for the little girls in our life! However, I decided to purchase the Moonstruck print, as it was neutral. I loved the swirl look on the fabric. It would be perfect for a boy or girl.

When I went to install the seat I found the base to be super easy to install. I love the built-in storage compartment for the latches when they’re not in use. The base is also easy to adjust as your child grows. You need two hands, but it glides smoothly and can switch positions in just seconds. We all know how quickly our children grow, and the SnugRide Click Connect 40 keeps up with their progression by allowing 8 adjustments to properly fit their height/weight. Another clever attribute is the foot rest, used to keep those messy playground shoes off of your seat!

The seat itself looks super comfy, is effortless to lock-in and remove from the base for when the child is an infant (to use as an infant carrier or with a stroller), and is light-weight, too. I like the fact that it can convert into a stay-in car seat when your child grows too big for an infant carrier.

The recline meter on the side of the seat is also great. It tells you when you are at a proper recline for the stage of the baby’s size. This is yet another unique feature the SnugRide Click Connect 40 offers that makes the life of a parent so much easier and allows you to be comforted knowing your child is in the safest seat possible!

No re-threading of the harness in the headrest is key. It makes it super easy to move the headrest and harness as the child grows. I personally used to dread taking out the seat to re-thread the harness straps as our son grew. It was tedious and not very easy. With the Snug Ride Click Connect 40, just one or two clicks and you are done with the adjustment! The Buckle release is also easy to push down and the strap release is simple to find (bright red).

Lastly, it’s also fabulous that the infant seat will fit (safely) into Click Connect models of Graco strollers; very versatile.

The SnugRide Click Connect 40 is truly a revolutionary car seat. Everything about it screams “easy” and perfect for “on-the-go” parents who don’t want to have to fuss with too many straps, buckles, etc. Many of us are becoming more educated and know rear facing seats are the safest; we’ve just been waiting for a seat to satisfy the need. What parent doesn’t want to keep their baby safer, longer?!”

It appears in the photo that the baby in it is too tall for the seat. the headrest makes it hard to track how hight their head is on the seat. The idea behind this seat is great though.
