Introducing the Graco® CONNEXT™ Backless Booster Seat with LATCH for Win It Wednesday

Kids grow up so fast, don’t they? One minute, you’re taking your child in for their first pediatric checkup and the next, you’re packing a lunchbox for his first day of kindergarten. As children grow, their car seat needs change too, which is why we’re happy to add a new option to the mix: The Graco CONNEXT™ Backless Booster Seat with LATCH.

This innovative booster is designed to help protect children 4 – 10 years old, from 40 – 100 lbs. and from 40 – 57” tall. It’s equipped with a rear-adjust LATCH system, which creates a secure connection between the booster and the vehicle seat, even when the seat is not in use (this is a great feature: in the event of a sudden stop when it’s not being used, the seat will stay firmly in place). This feature allows easy self-buckling, so that older children can feel more independent. It’s important to note that the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that children remain in a belt-positioning booster until they are 4’9” tall.

At an MSRP of $17.99, this Graco booster is available exclusively at Walmart (online and in-store), in the sleek Red Pepper™ and Moonwalk™ fashions.

Speaking of independence, when did you know your child was growing up?  Tell us in the comments below to enter to win a CONNEXT Backless Booster with LATCH. We will announce the winner on Facebook tomorrow after 10 a.m. EST. Good luck!

I think when they start telling you what they will and will not wear to school. :D And I think this concept is great. Makes for one less object to fly in your car!

I know it when they start being kind to each other and helping each other. =-)

Could really use a new booster for my 4 1/2 year old daughter. Her seat is almost expired and she needs an upgrade. Thanks Graco.

I noticed my son was growing up when he said he was smarter than me. I then asked him a few questions on how smart he really is. Lol.

I knew he was growing up when I dropped him off at daycare and went to give him a hug- he said “mom, I’m four now, we don’t do hugs when I’m four.”

Wow what a great invention. Those boosters always seemed a little unsafe to me. Definetly need to look into this for my daughter who just turned 4.

This would be wonderful to win. My son is almost 4 and I have been shopping around to find something he can fit into comfortably and safely. This is the best I have found.

This would be great for my 5 year old grandson. It is always a chore to make sure the vehicle you are taking has a seat for him!

  22. Shana March 27, 2013 at 4:28 pm #

When they tell you, “I do it by myself!” I love the idea of the latch on this, it feels safer.

  23. Jessica March 27, 2013 at 4:29 pm #

When she started saying that she could do everything all by herself and didn’t want any help.

  24. pamela monteiro March 27, 2013 at 4:30 pm #

It is so refreshing to have a company that goes above and beyond for our kids as far as safety, durability and style! I love how Graco has taken safety to another level with their back latch booster and now with three toddlers, I feel this is a must have! GrEaT JoB GrAcO!!! #customerforlife ;)

  25. Amanda B March 27, 2013 at 4:32 pm #

This would be great to have when my daughter outgrows her current car seat!

  26. pamela monteiro March 27, 2013 at 4:37 pm #

The moment our daughter started learning about child safety in school and started to remind us how important OUR safety was to her and thanked us for loving her enough to keep her safe in the car <3 it's so great to have a company like Graco that goes above and beyond and thinks outside the box to create a safer booster with back latches! With three toddlers, this is now a must have!! #thankyougraco ;)

When my 6 year old kindergartner had to go to ride the school bur by herself because her big sister was sick. That is when I realized my baby was a big girl.

  29. Jen March 27, 2013 at 5:17 pm #

This product would be wonderful!!! My son is always ‘moving’ his seat so that he can’t find the other end of the buckle when he gets in the car!

  30. karen s March 27, 2013 at 5:26 pm #

I knew my girl was growing up when she didn’t want my help in the bathroom after using the toilet. I would stand outside the door, she would always tell me when she was finished which was my cue to go in and assist her in cleaning up. One day, she completed the task herself and declared “I can do it myself now”.

  33. Nicole Geertsma March 27, 2013 at 5:29 pm #

  34. Sandra U. March 27, 2013 at 5:30 pm #

When my son started counting forward and backwards and telling me letters he would see on signs. I realized, wow, he’s not a baby anymore, he’s a big boy!

  37. Amber March 27, 2013 at 5:45 pm #

My daughter always seemed to be growing up fast. I knew she was growing up when she came up with solutions to problems on her own. I think that’s awesome since she’s only 4!

  38. joanna garcia March 27, 2013 at 5:45 pm #

i knew she was growing up when she did not want me to pick out her clothes or put it on her =0( especially when her vocabulary increased so much!

My son will be needing a booster seat sooner than I would like to think! I’ve been looking around and we have all Graco seats now and I would love to get a Graco booster seat too!

  44. Chelle March 27, 2013 at 6:56 pm #

I know this is really young, but to me it was still a sign of growing up and not needing me as much :( When they self weaned as babies. It was sooo sad for me. They were ready to move on. This was at about a year and a half for both of my kids. An older sign was when they would grab a stool and push it to where they wanted to get at. No need for mom to get the item for them or intervene lol.

  45. Curtis March 27, 2013 at 7:03 pm #

    He started grabbing my food

  46. Brianna March 27, 2013 at 7:05 pm #

I noticed my daughter was growing up when she stopped asking for breast milk and was becoming independent!

  48. Jenna March 27, 2013 at 8:02 pm #

I always notice my children are growing up when they start to ask to do things themselves. I love when they start to get food by themselves at meals, put their things away, get themselves dressed and start to do things without being asked. It’s a great feeling seeing them grow into such amazing children :)

  49. Jennifer March 27, 2013 at 8:27 pm #

Why wasn’t this already invented? Fantastic!

  50. Sherri March 27, 2013 at 8:55 pm #

What a great idea! I would love one for my daughter.
