The couple tried to get pregnant for years before trying fertility treatments, and just a few months ago they were blessed with the arrival of Olivia, Madison, Rozonno Jr., Josiah, Elijah and Isaac.

Graco donated six full collections of baby gear from the Ashford Collection, sold exclusively at Walmart, and a Nautilus 3-in-1 car seat for each child to enjoy once they get big enough.

Best known from the international smash hit “Baywatch” – Gena Lee Nolin, actress and mom, is returning after having three children, Spencer (12), Hudson Lee (3) and baby Stella, with an entirely new image and outlook on life – and we’re thrilled to have Gena here with us on the Graco blog to chat about it!

Gena is set to host a new television series, which is currently in development. Also in the works, this gorgeous mom is working on a book which delves into her own experience of postpartum depression. After experiencing postpartum depression with all three of her children, Gena’s book aims to help other mothers going through the same thing. Now, Gena’s loving her time as a mom, and we’re so glad she was able to take some time to share her thoughts on mommyhood with us:

What is your favorite part about being a mom?

I love the responsibility of being a mom. Teaching them and watching them grow. It’s scary and fun all in one! Being a mom has been amazing and as I go I’m more and more aware of what’s really important. Like they say, don’t sweat the small stuff. It’s true. I think we all tend to worry about things that truly don’t matter in the grand scheme of things. Also, my patience is much better with age! I hold the record of watching the Wiggles 25 consecutive times… Yes!

What was your latest wondrous moment with your child?

Having a really positive adult conversation with my 12 1/2 year old son. It was beyond wondrous and so rewarding.

What is your favorite children’s book?

Jack and the Beanstalk — I wanted those magic beans! When I got older it was Judy Bloom’s — Super Fudge!

Is there any advice that you can offer to new Moms?

To be patient and enjoy, because it goes by really fast… Now, I sound like my mom!

What is your favorite Graco product?

The SnugRide. I used them with my two younger ones. I love Graco high chairs too! Everything is so functional and stylish!

Remember back in September when Leslie Segrete was kind enough to share some of her motherhood experiences and thoughts on parenting? Well, now she is back to lend some knowledge in her supreme area of expertise! Leslie has put together 5 of the most important tips you should consider when designing your nursery. Take a look at the pictures below (ADORABLE!) The proof is in the pudding – if you need some advice on how to decorate your nursery, Leslie is certainly the guru to get it from!

Here are 5 great decorating tips from carpenter/ designer Leslie Segrete of “While Your Were Out” and “Trading Spaces.”

1. Plan a room that your child can grow with. Choose furnishings that can adapt to the future needs of your child. We chose a changing table that is surrounded by two tower type bookcases that create overhead storage as well. As Henry grows, the changing table can slide out and accommodate a desk for art projects and homework. The crib can grow into a twin bed as well so we made smart choices that are both durable and stylish to always work with our child’s changing life.

2. Don’t make the space overly baby. You can have a lot of fun with color and accent colors to create a space that will stimulate baby but not drive you crazy. Look into removable wall decals to create fun vistas and details on your child’s wall that will inspire and entertain your little one.

3. Choose paints for the space that are low or no VOC (volatile organic compounds) which can give off gas over a lengthy period of time and cause a series of respiratory heath issues, especially in small children. Same goes for finishes on furnishing and carpeting. If you are having new carpet installed have the installer air the piece of carpeting gout in their warehouse for as many days as they possibly will allow to off gas outside of your home.

4. Plan the layout of the nursery very carefully. You want a space that flows well and is also safe for you and your child. Do not place the crib near a window where the baby might be able to climb and accidentally fall. Think of this space as the next version of the kitchen triangle. Be sure to create ease in movements for you as you go from rocker to changing table to crib.

5. Choose a non traditional paint color for the room. We went with a slate gray for our son’s room and it really works very well. Just because you are having a boy doesn’t mean the room has to be baby blue.

Hopefully you found these tips helpful – I know I will definitely refer back to this great advice when I am decorating a nursery in the future.

As Leslie Segrete would say – Have A Super Fun Time Decorating Your Nursery!

Through conversations with one of John’s reps, I discovered that he is a huge fan of Graco. In fact, most recently Mr. Higgins was seen pushing a Graco Twin Ipo and strapping his daughter into the Graco Nautilus Car Seat!

Since John has been so pleased with his Graco products and is truly a doting daddy – I asked if he would be interested in answering some parenting questions for the Graco blog. He so kindly accepted and opened his heart to us in this very sweet interview…

What is your favorite part about being a Dad?
I find my children to be almost endlessly inventive. I’m 46; it’s hard for me to imagine life as a constant stream of surprises and novelties. I love watching them engage with life as if it were really a miracle, which they have no trouble believing. Short answer, they keep me young.

What was your latest wondrous moment with your child?
Little Walter just asked yesterday to sit on the potty. Unprompted. He sat, he waited, then peed. I was gobsmacked. Next he’ll ask for the car keys, I suppose.

What is the biggest thing you have learned now that you are a Dad?
Well, it’s quite clearly not about me anymore, is it? I’m not at all the most interesting or important thing in the room. Tell that to a single 26-year-old. I’ve gone from Legend In My Own Mind to a slightly ridiculous shambling figure holding a dirty diaper and a little Day-Glo pony.

Is there a family tradition you are passing down to your child or have you started a new one with your own family?
Yes, the old Higgins family tradition of a total disregard for cleanliness. Actually, I remembered watching Disney on Sunday nights with my family when I was little, so we’re trying to watch something together on Sunday nights. Doesn’t sound very special, but we watch so little TV that it has a sort of novelty in our house.

What is your favorite children’s book?
So many. I like Chris Raschka’s THINGY THING books, starting with WHALEY WHALE. I like THE DOUBTFUL GUEST by Edward Gorey. I just finished chapter reading Nicholas Edwards’ SANTA PAWS to my 4 yr-old; big hit. Mauice Sendak remains the unrivaled master with WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE because he alone, to this day, wrote the whole child, warts and all, in Max. Still shocking after 46 years. And my 2-yr -old knows it, he doesn’t need my opinion to see it.

What’s your favorite time of the time with your child?
I’m going to go for 7 AM with little Walter. When he wakes up he’s so full of talk and ideas and songs and jokes. Needless to say, I’m not. Very entertaining. With Maisie, 4 1/2, it’s bedtime. She really thinks about her day and sort of “journals” out-loud about it. Fascinating. Very cute, of course, both of them.

What is your favorite Graco product?
We’ve been using our Quattro Tour Duo Stroller (Milan, if you please) to within an inch of its life. I frankly can’t imagine a world without it; it’s too awful to contemplate. THE ABUSE that that stroller has endured! What do you make them out of, Kryptonite? Walter also loves his Cozy Cline SafeSeat because he can lie back. But I’m moving him up to the Nautilus now. It goes so fast! Can’t you make a car seat that keeps them as cute as they are right now until I push a button or something and then they grow a little? Why can’t Graco figure out a way for parents to control how fast their little perfect babies age? Come on, If you figured out the Quattro that should be a no-brainer!

It’s such a simple phrase, but filled with a lot of dimension, meaning, love and optimism.

This seemingly simple phrase covers the larger desire for world peace so that all people and cultures can live harmoniously and safely, as well as a wish for that “inner peace” that allows us to enjoy all of the little moments the make up our lives. Right now many of us are sharing in those little moments as we gather with friends and family to celebrate the holidays, and I’m no exception. Enjoying time with my husband, Punkin’ Bear, and Lady Bug (on her first Christmas!) I wanted to send my wishes to you and your families for a very happy, and peaceful 2009 in every sense of the phrase!

And while I’m at it, I thought I’d share a small moment of personal peace …sweetpeace that is.
Here’s what Babble’s Droolicious blog had to say…

…”The Scranton branch pooled their money together and purchased a stroller frame and infant car seat from Graco. The Graco SnugRider Infant Carseat Frame folds up nicely, has two parent cupholders and a basket underneath. More importantly, it only costs $59.99. The car seat they purchased is the Graco SnugRide Infant Car Seat in the Sterling pattern. It has all the typical car seat stuff (five point harness, a base, a handle etc.) and is (according to Graco) “America’s favorite infant car seat.”

The car seat costs $99.99 bringing the total price tag on the gift to $159.98. Which is a pretty good gift for the baby shower of your bosses ex-girlfriend’s baby (that isn’t even your boss’s baby in the first place).

Apparently Scranton, PA and Hollywood, CA have more in common then you might have thought!

And while “Jan” seems to have gone the ”expensive” route with her stroller choice, the “real” Angela is a Graco fan as well.

Function is the new Fashion – you heard it here first! (well maybe not – I think I’ve started to hear that more and more these days)

If you are a reader, you have probably fancied many of her fabulous ideas from her Shop Girl column in Country Home Magazine. I’m talking about Leslie Segrete! When Leslie isn’t knocking down walls, painting rooms, being a carpenter, seamstress, chef, designer and adding her amazing flare to homes everywhere- she is working on her latest and most successful project – being a mom to her son Henry.

I met Leslie at the NYC Boom Boom Room this May and aside from hoping to get design tips from her for my new fixer-upper of a home, I was very eager to have her blog for Graco because I love her work. Today she is going to tell us about her experiences as a new mom and her beautiful baby boy Henry. Stay tuned- in a few weeks we will be posting nursery decor tips from Leslie!

What is your favorite part about being a Mom?
Well, it’s only been a short amount of time, but I have to say everything. Had I known how much I was going to fall in love with this snuggly little man I would have become a mom ages ago. Everything about Henry is perfect, I know every parent says that but we all must really believe it’s true. He is just super adorable and everyday there has been something new to discover about him. Right now he is into smiling at his parents, which we, of course just eat up – whatever he wants he can have it!

What was your latest wondrous moment with your child?
Well we recently reached a huge milestone. I hate to even talk about it too much for fear of jinxing it. With a bit of work over a week and half we got our son to sleep through the night! He goes into bed after a bottle, bath, massage, and story at about 8:30pm and sleeps until about 11, then has a very sleepy bottle before snoozing away until 7am. Man, what a life he has. Did you notice I wrote bottle, bath, massage, and story, if only everyone could end each day this way!

What is the biggest thing you have learned now that you are a Mom?
It’s probably the ability to trust my own instincts. I never had any questions about my abilities when it comes to my work. I can figure out how to problem solve any design dilemma and know that my gut is telling me the right thing. When it comes to Henry though, I have really had to listen to my instinctive actions and trust that I am, and we are, doing the right things for my son. You have so many expectations to be a good parent and raise a wonderful human being that it can really cloud the fact that you know deep down what it is he needs and how to care for and completely love, this tiny person.

Is there a family tradition you are passing down to your child or have you started a new one with your own family?
In my family we really go all out for the holidays. Starting on October 1st the house will transformed into a Halloween fun zone with pumpkins, birds, scary skeletons, and glittery gourds. This transformation of our home goes all way through the first of the year. Christmas is my favorite time of the year and I cannot wait to get the house all sparkly and pine scented and we are able to see the look on Henry’s face as he watches all of the colors and experiences the sights and smells of the season. I really hope that he will love all of the months ending in “ber” as much as I do!

What is your favorite children’s book?
My personal all time favorites are the Dorrie the Little Witch books by Patricia Coombs. Anytime the library has a sale or I spot one on EBay, I pick it up. I have almost the whole series and just adore the hijinx that little witch with her miss matched socks gets into with her cat. It is amazing how all these years after I was a kid I still love to pour over every page of those books. I have started sharing them with Henry but he looses interest (AKA falls asleep) after the first few pages.

What’s your favorite time of the time with your child?
It has to be first thing in the morning. When he wakes up, man, it is as if he is seeing the world for the first time again. He just beams with excitement. He smiles so big it is hard to get him to have is bottle. When he wakes up we bring him into our bed, I know don’t do it, but tell me you don’t just love it yourself! He sits with us while we have coffee and he has his bottle and we all snuggle and smooch each other and I just love it! My second favorite is when he falls asleep on my chest, he is just so delicious!

What is your favorite Graco product?
That would be a toughie. Given my line of work I have a thing for safety products. I have to say our Graco monitor has been very helpful. We put Henry in his own room when he was three weeks old. It was for the benefit of everyone involved. We would jump at every noise and he would never get any rest and neither would we. Using the monitor and having him sleep in his room, he still got his needs attended to but we all got some rest and we learned the ability to interpret each cry, squeak, and dinosaur sound for what that each demanded. And by the way, some of those crazy noises are nothing, just them testing out their vocal cords.

To prepare for the long plane ride, I bought some magazines. Since I was going to be on a plane, sitting with nobody I knew, I decided to buy an InStyle Weddings magazine. There would have been nothing wrong with this, except, I had no plans of getting married at that time, I wasn’t even engaged. (so I was kind of reading undercover!!) Once we arrived in LA and the Boom Boom Room began, I noticed this beautiful, tall blonde in our suite – who just so happened to be on the cover of my InStyle wedding magazine!! It was German bred actress, Elisabeth Röhm and she totally blew my cover (of course I was excited to tell her that I had read her interview)! It was pretty funny- I was so excited to meet her, just a day after reading an article about her pregnancy, upcoming nuptuals to Ron Wooster and all of the plans. How cool! Elisabeth turned out to be just as beautiful on the inside as the outside.

About two weeks after the BBR, Patrick and I ended up getting engaged, and since Elisabeth has shared wedding planning advice like, “remember that less is more” AND she gave me the great idea of having my dog Rocky as the “flower dog.” How cute!!

Elisabeth was kind enough to answer a few questions for us about her new role as a mom to beautiful daughter Easton. I am very excited to introduce, Elisabeth Röhm!

What is your favorite part about being a Mom?
I have definitely reached a new level of happiness. It’s not that I wasn’t happy before, I just didn’t know I could be this happy all the time. Easton makes me happier than I could have ever imagined was even possible.

What was your latest wondrous moment with your child?
Wow- we have continuous wondrous moments with this little one. Easton has the best sense of humor and laughs A LOT. I think she is probably the happiest person I know. Her laugh is wonderful.

What is the biggest thing you have learned now that you are a Mom?
I hate to sound cliché, but I’ve learned what it means to be selfless. I feel such a sense of satisfaction in taking care of Easton. I never knew how much I would enjoy taking care of someone else all of the time. I truly feel that if something can’t get done [because I have to take care of Easton] than it just won’t get done. She comes first!

Is there a family tradition you are passing down to your child or have you started a new one with your own family?
We’ve started a new family tradition. Ron and I recently purchased a home in another country, a country that has no ties to either Ron’s or my family history. It’s a new place for us to go as a family. Easton will grow up visiting on Christmas or over summers; this will be like the backyard to her childhood. We are creating her memories.

What is your favorite children’s book?
Harold and The Purple Crayon by Crockett Johnson

What’s your favorite time of the day with your child?
I love nighttime with Easton. Ron painted her room a beautiful lavender color, it’s extremely peaceful and quiet at night when she is sleepy and ready for me to put her down. I also LOVE when she falls asleep in my arms and wakes up in the same spot. When she wakes up and looks at me it’s like she is thinking “hey, thanks for not putting me down.” She wakes up so happy and relieved to see that she is still in my arms. It’s truly an amazing moment we share each time.

What is your favorite Graco product?
The SnugRider! The SnugRider has been very convenient for us while traveling. I can have her in her car seat on the plane and then use the stroller frame in the airport- its very easy to travel with. I also love the SnugRider because when Easton falls asleep in the car seat I can just pop her right into the stroller without waking her up – that’s key!
