My favorite kids: Other than the itsy bitsy one growing inside my belly, I’m a huge fan of my 2.5 year old niece Emma, 1.5 year old nephew Beckett and 1 year old adopted niece (not really, just the daughter of some really great friends) Elle. I love them all and love hanging out with them to experience our wondrous world through their eyes.

Latest “wondrous” moment: This hands-down has to be releasing our blog to all of our family and friends announcing the arrival of our little one in late January. We have such an amazing network of family and friends who have all sent messages of congratulations, love and best wishes for the little Parker to come. It was seriously an amazing day for us to share this wondrous moment in our lives with all of those closest to us—it gave me chills!

You just have to know this about me: My husband and I are huge college sport fans. He graduated from the University of Texas and me from Texas Tech. Because we live in Austin, we have season tickets to UT football (thank goodness I enjoy the game and game day festivities) and don’t miss a game. Every year our two teams play each other (Tech won last year, btw) and the week leading up the game is now deemed “hate week” for my husband and me. It’s not as harsh as it sounds, but we both will cheer and wear the other team’s colors most anytime except during that week. It’s a fun little thing that has become somewhat of a tradition and we are excited to welcome some of our good friends into the “hate week” fraternity as they prepare to get married in May 2010.

If someone said “Go to your Happy Place,” where would you go?: Hmmm… it’s hard to name just one, but it would either be curled up on the sofa for a Sunday afternoon nap (I know, these days are numbered with a little one on the way) or on a patio with friends sipping a refreshing beverage listening to live music.

The first thing I think of when I wake up is: Really? Didn’t I just lie down to go to sleep??

Favorite children’s book: Where the Wild Things Are (it’s my brother’s favorite too, he recently gifted it to a friend for a baby shower)
